Mindset Engagement High Performance –  Mindset and engagement are fundamental for high performance

Deborah will be talking about   She will draw on her practical experience and highlight the importance of mindset and behaviour in the workplace. In business today even stability is a form of slow moving change whilst complexity and uncertainty can’t be managed effectively if only calling on traditional performance driven mindsets.  Facts, figures and best practice are no longer enough and there is now a requirement within our organisations for expert meaning makers, skills to foster collective attention towards adaptive challenges and the ability and insight to stimulate bottom-up, locally responsive solutions.

This demands knowledge and learning to enhance and expand traditional leadership thinking beyond the familiar performance mindset.  A broader understanding of motivations and behaviour added to deeper learning around cognitive strengths/weaknesses enables us to better manage anxiety and emotion.  As such, we are better placed to hold ambiguity and uncertainty in ways that encourage people to manage discomfort long enough for innovation to flow, even during the most challenging times.

Deborah Hulme is the founder of culture and engagement consultancy, Minerva Engagement.  Minerva exists to improve performance from the inside out and Deborah works across organisations to agree, develop and implement strategies that impact behaviour, build trust and deliver high performance.

Deborah is trained in the foundations of neuroleadership, is a practitioner of executive coaching (AoEC) and NLP and a Fellow of the Institute of Internal Communication.  She has over 20 years’ experience in shaping and delivering complex engagement programmes, working across many different organisations to deliver change and improve performance through the effective engagement of employees and stakeholders.
